Editorial Policy
PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original articles that constitute significant contributions to the advancements of psychiatry and psychology. In addition, PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA publishes information from the medical associations, reports and materials from international congresses, letters to the Editor, information on new medical products as well as abstracts and discussions on papers published in other scientific journals, reviews of books and other publications. PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA is issued four times a year in printed form, and in electronic form at http://www.psychiatria.com.pl. PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA is internationally indexed in Index Copernicus, Ministry of Science and Higher Education, EMBASE and SCOPUS. The Editors of PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA acknowledge the principles of the Helsinki Declaration and, therefore, expect all research involving human to be conducted in line with the principles of above-mentioned declaration. For animal experimentation reported in the published articles the Editors acknowledge Interdisciplinary Principles and Guidelines for the Use of Animals in Research, Testing and Education (New York Academy of Sciences’ Ad hoc Committee) as general rules to conduct such studies. All studies involving humans or animals should be approved by the investigators’ institutional review boards. The Review Process Manuscripts submitted for publication in PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA are evaluated during an evaluation process. It is assumed that all the authors listed agreed to the publication of the submitted paper as well as that the signature of correspondence author is certifying such an agreement of all the peers. Submitted papers are reviewed in the evaluation process, firstly by the Editor-in-Chief. Incomplete or insufficient papers are sent back to authors without notice of explanation. Those which are sufficient undergo further examination. Each paper is registered under the unique registration number and under this number sent to two members of the Review Committee. The usual evaluation process takes 3 to 5 weeks. The paper is granted to be printed after positive opinion from the members of the Review Committee is obtained. Conflict of Interest Each paper submitted for publication in PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA should be accompanied by the statement of any financial relationship with any commercial company should such a case appear. Whenever there is a lack of such information it is taken for granted that submitted manuscript is financed by own department/authors sources. Permissions Materials cited or derived from other publications has to be followed by a written permission from at least one author to PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA for publication. Patient Confidentiality The authors submitting papers to PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA are obliged to secure privacy of all personal data of patients. Therefore, changing initials and disclosing only the relevant data of patients are required. However, in case patient can be identified from the paper or photography, illustration or in any other way, written permission for publication is required from him/her or his/hers legal guardian. It is not recommended by the Editor of PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA to disclose the ethnicity, race, culture or political opinions of patients being subject of the study, unless it is instrumental to the study. In such a case, however, it is required by the Editor, that the names of the categories should be as illustrative as possible and describe how the patients were assigned to theses categories. Copyright Transfer By submitting papers for publication in PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA authors agree that the Publisher purchases exclusively copyrights to submitted manuscripts. Copyright issues are also referred to in the section of “Copyrights and Permissions” of Notice to Contributors/Instructions for Authors published in each copy of PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA and in the Internet. Disclaimer Although much attention is taken by the Publisher and the Editor-in-Chief that all the data, opinions and statements which appear in PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA are correct and obey International and Polish Law, the Publisher cannot accept responsibility for any data or opinions or advertisements appearing in PSYCHIATRIA I PSYCHOLOGIA KLINICZNA.
