About the Journal

“Psychiatria i Psychologia Kliniczna” (“Journal of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology”) – Psychiatr Psychol Klin – is a peer-reviewed international medical journal that has been published since 2001. It is available online at www.psychiatria.com.pl – at no fees or any other limitations under Creative Commons licence (CC BY-NC-ND).

The quarterly publishes original research papers, including meta-analyses, reviews and case reports, thus contributing to the development of psychiatry and clinical psychology, current news and information regarding the work of medical societies, including guidelines and consensus statements, as well as editorial commentaries of given papers, short communications, congress news and proceedings, let­ters to the editors, information about new medical products, abstracts and dis­cussions on articles published elsewhere, and various book and paper reviews.

Original papers are published in English (the journal’s language of preference), whereas reviews, case reports and other types of papers are published in English or in Polish.

The journal does not have article processing charges and article submission charges. We would like to inform you that from 2023, a translation/copy-editing fee will be introduced by the publisher of “Journal of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology” for papers submitted to the Editorial team.


The publication of “Psychiatria i Psychologia Kliniczna” (“Journal of Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology”) is co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science under Contract No. RCN/SN/0704/2021/1, as part of the “Development of Scientific Journals” project.

The title of the task: Psychiatria i Psychologia Kliniczna – publishing activity in the years 2022–2024.

The aim of the programme is to improve publishing and editing practices, increase the impact of the journal on the development of science and to expand its presence in the international scientific circulation.

The tasks will be carried out by implementing an anti-plagiarism programme, implementing and developing a system for processing manuscripts, internationalisation (professional translation and proofreading of papers published in English), as well as disseminating publications in databases and promoting the journal abroad (promotional campaigns, dedicated newsletters, etc.).

The subsidy amounts to PLN 32,000.
